Synopsis

This piece, one of my first major works since moving to California, was inspired by the vibrant musical community I discovered here. Influences from jazz, rock and roll, new age, folk, Celtic, and fiddle music converged in this triptych, which I aptly titled “Music Heals.” Music, as I realized even further, has the power to heal the soul, body, mind, relationships, and bridge distances and differences.

After completing the painting, I shared a photo of it on social media. Within minutes, a friend claimed, “Mine!” Then, for about a decade, this triptych traveled to numerous shows in Southern California, where it was admired by hundreds of art enthusiasts. It received acclaim in local newspapers and was reproduced as greeting cards and limited edition prints.

Eventually, “Music Heals” found its perfect home on the walls of that enthusiastic claimant. It now adorns space, right above her piano.
